Salty Chocolate Mini Cup
Oh Yeah! Easy Keto Chocolate Treat. Few days ago while I'm doing my research for a Gluten free diet I came across with some new trend of diets its a Ketogenic diet. Ketogenic Diet is known for a low carb diet where the body produces ketones in the liver to be used as energy. A standard Keto diet is usually comprised of 20 percent protein, 75 percent fat and 5 percent carbohydrates. Where approximately 10-50g of carbohydrates is consumed everyday. Ketogenic diet is reported to be useful in weight management.
I dont really need to lose weight all I want is to eat healthy as much as possible but not depriving myself from eating treats once in a while.
So here is a Low Carb Treat that is easy to make for special occasions. Its also dairy free, and Gluten free.
Ingredients:
200g dairy free dark chocolate 70% cocoa solids or above.
10 walnuts ( I break them in small pieces)
2 tablespoon of roasted unsweetened coconut flakes
sea salt
Instruction:
1. Line a mini muffin tin with a liner.
2. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave for 30 seconds remove in the microwave and stir. Repeating heating in a shorter interval 15-20 seconds stirring in between until the chocolate has melted completely and with smooth consistency.
3. Pour the melted chocolate to the prepared tin.
3. Add the nuts, Coconut flakes, and sprinkle a few salt.
4. Let it cool and store in the fridge.
Tip. You can also add some pumpkin seeds or even dried berries.
